Central Park

During the last week of my photography class I decided to travel all the way uptown to Central Park from my beloved and familiar East Village. The subjects were not nearly as interesting as those I encountered in the downtown area. They were far to normal and clean-cut for my taste, so I had to work extra hard to create interesting compositions. I got down in the grass and shot upwards to get an interesting angle in some of the photos. Toward the end, I stumbled upon an African drum circle that was lively and exciting, but I had a difficult time capturing it effectively since everyone was dancing around and moving so quickly.
