Washington Square Park: Take 2!

After learning a lot of the basics of photography technicalities, my teacher assigned the class to work on our final photo projects. We were told to pick a theme and start taking photos that the class would chose six of the best from at the end of the class to be in a final exhibition. I decided on street photography in different parks in New York. My first week I went back to favorite: Washington Square Park, where I started to recognize the regulars. I was nervous about getting too close to my subjects. I didn't want them to notice me taking their picture, so that I could capture them in the moment. I stayed further away from them, used my zoom, and experimented with depth of field.
